Every Tuesday, we embark on a global journey with #TravelTuesday! At Belgium Sotheby’s International Realty, we’re part of a network of international agencies, and each week, we take you on a virtual tour of exquisite properties from around the world. From hidden gems to iconic destinations, we’ve showcased a curated selection of luxury properties that span continents, countries, and cultures. And as the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at the unforgettable places we’ve explored together.

It was a celebration of culture, luxury, and the art of living well, as we shared the stories of properties in some of the most breathtaking locations on Earth.

And whether it was the tranquil vineyards of Provence or the sophisticated charm of London, Europe remained a consistent favorite on our travel map.

While Europe dominated, we also ventured far beyond its borders. Our furthest featured destination was New Zealand, a land of breathtaking natural beauty and serene escapes. Hawaii also made a stunning appearance, offering its lush landscapes and legendary beaches as a perfect island retreat. From hidden treasures to the most iconic landmarks, our Travel Tuesday posts captured the spirit of adventure, showcasing both familiar and faraway places.

A love for the sea

Waterfront destinations continued to steal the spotlight in 2024, accounting for nearly 40% of our destinations. Whether the rugged cliffs of Hvar, Croatia, the serene beaches of Jamaica, or the pristine shores of Saint-Tropez, the sea seemed to call us back every week. These coastal retreats, with their endless views and soothing sounds, were the perfect setting for the stunning properties we highlighted, adding an element of calm and serenity to the year’s adventures.

The year wrapped up in true festive style with two unforgettable destinations: the winter wonderland of Lapland, Finland, and the alpine charm of Kitzbühel, Austria. Both locations brought a magical touch to our December posts, evoking the spirit of the season with snow-covered landscapes, cozy chalets, and a sense of timeless beauty that perfectly captured the holiday magic.
