You will discover the Guillaume & Edith Vranken-Hoet African Art Collection, an ensemble of objects from the Congo and West Africa, mainly masks and statues. The selection will include a mask and two statues of the Songye and Luba peoples from the south-eastern region of what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo. Other masks and statues from Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar and the Bamana will also be on show.
The sale of such a private collection is a major event on the art market.
You will also have the pleasure of discovering a selection of lots from the “Paintings and Drawings 1400 – 1900” sale on 19 June in Paris, as well as from the “European & British Art” sale scheduled to take place in London on 4 July.
The exhibition will be open to the public until Friday 7 June.
