Bror Lindh, a Swedish painter specializing in winter landscapes, hailed from the artistic Jansson family. Initially taught by his father, Carl Jansson, he later received formal training from Gustaf Fjæstad. Lindh’s artistic journey included a stint as a decorative painter in Arvika before enrolling in the Swedish Artists’ Association painting school. Following emotional setbacks in Stockholm, he joined journalist Walter Hülphers in Värmland, adopting a life of chastity and poverty. In the 1920s, Lindh withdrew from social life, living as a near-hermit in Grönäs, and his works are showcased in renowned museums like the Moderna Museet.
We are proud to exhibit a series of ten winter landscapes paintings signed by Bror Lindh in Brussels as from Thursday 18 January.
The paintings will be available for direct purchase at the gallery, on view until February 9th.
