From 8 to 11 October, Belgium Sotheby’s International Realty opened the doors of a character property from its portfolio at 16 Nederpolder in Ghent. For one long weekend, works by Demain Art took their place in its rooms.

An Opening Night, Then Three Days of Viewing

Thursday evening’s opening brought together art lovers and the curious alike. From Friday to Sunday, the house was open to the public from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., so visitors could take in the exhibition at their own pace.

A Dialogue Between Walls and Works

The idea was simple: let architecture and art play off each other. Mouldings, exposed beams and a black marble fireplace create a classic, light-filled setting. The canvases, with their vivid colours and botanical motifs, bring movement and freshness to the space.

Architecture That Showcases Art

High ceilings, pale walls, Hungarian point parquet: every room works as a natural gallery. The works settle in effortlessly, and the house reveals its volumes in a new light.

Three apartments, one shared elegance

The house is divided into three apartments, each with its own character. It’s a rare configuration that will appeal as much to those looking for a home as to those considering an investment.
